I’m not into the whole “good vibes only” stuff.
Yes, good vibes are great but you have to be open to the bad vibes too. You have to be open to more than just the good because without the bad, you can never really appreciate how good “the good” actually is. There are no stars without the dark. Life is a balancing act. You stack one thing on top of another and just hope it doesn’t fall. That is no way to live life. Things will fall apart sometimes, you just have to realize that when that happens, better things often fall back together. Within all of the hustle and bustle of the second half of my junior year of college, I have not given myself any time to appreciate the good. I’ve been constantly worrying about one thing or another and never giving myself a break. I’ve given too much thought to what other people think of me when that is the last thing I should be worried about. I never stop to give my mind a break. Just like your body, your mind needs to rest too. So as I’m sitting in the middle of the woods in a hammock next to a small waterfall, while my homework sits in my dorm room, I remind myself to accept the bad in life, but to also stop and appreciate the good. Namaste, love & light.
